PIEDMONT, South Carolina — The Piedmont community is mourning the tragic deaths of Lisa Marie Outzs, 49, and Glenn Alan Hurley, 57, following a fatal shooting inside a home on Mansion Circle. Their passing has brought deep sorrow to family, friends, neighbors, and all those affected by the heartbreaking incident.

According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 100 block of Mansion Circle at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, after authorities received a report of two deceased individuals inside the home.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

The female victim was identified as Lisa Marie Outzs, who lived at the residence. Following an autopsy, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office determined that Outzs died from multiple gunshot wounds and ruled her manner of death as homicide.

The male victim was identified as Glenn Alan Hurley, who also resided at the home. Authorities determined that Hurley died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his manner of death was ruled suicide.

After completing autopsies on both individuals on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, officials confirmed the causes and manners of death. Based on the evidence collected and the findings of the coroner’s office, authorities classified the case as a murder-suicide.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officials have not released additional details regarding a possible motive or what may have led to the tragic event. Authorities have also not disclosed whether anyone else was present inside the residence at the time.
